Asian Fish Burgers

Chef Gavin created this Oriental Style fish burger that is light and delicious. You can always switch up your ingredients: substitute cod with halibut, snapper, even scallops! - Jen


Yield = 4 Burgers

1 lb Cod
1/2 lb Shrimp
1/2 cup Onion (finely chopped)
2 tsp Ginger (finely chopped)
1 Tbsp Garlic (minced)
1 Tbsp Thai Green Curry Paste
1 tsp Lime zest (grated)
1/2 cup Watercress leaves (optional)
3 Tbsp Cilantro (chopped)
2 Tbsp Thai Basil (chopped)
Salt and Pepper to taste
A Dash of Fish Sauce
4 Lettuce leaves
4 Soaked Rice Paper wrappers
Thai Sweet Chili sauce

  • Preheat grill to high heat.
  • Place fish, shrimp, onion, ginger, garlic, curry paste, lime zest, watercress, cilantro and thai basil into a food processor.
  • Pulse until the mixture begins to come together but fish still has a slightly chunky texture. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Divide the fish mixture into 4 portions, and form them into 1” thick patties.
  • Grill the patties with the lid closed for 4 mins per side. Top each patty with Thai sweet chili sauce and serve wrapped in a lettuce leaf plus the rice paper wrapper.

These burgers are delicious, and are Gluten Free! Feel free to serve extra Thai Sweet chili sauce on the side.
