The only advice i have for this recipe is to not limit yourself with just using salmon. The Lemon aioli goes really well with halibut, snapper and also scallops. – Jen
2 Salmon Filets (Sockeye)
1-2 Lemons (sliced into ½” thick pieces)
¼ cup Mayo
1 Tbsp Sugar
- Preheat grill
- Make the sauce first, by grilling the lemon slices for 2 mins on each side. Remove from grill and let cool slightly. Squeeze lemon pieces to extract juice through a strainer and into a small bowl. Add the mayo and sugar, and mix well. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.(If the sauce is too tart still for your liking, add a touch more sugar to balance it out) Reserve.
- Next, grill salmon 4-6 mins a side depending on thickness.
- Plate Salmon and garnish with the Grilled Lemon Aioli.
